TRIS recently hosted an exhibition named "The World's Greatest Mela – Respecting India’s Cinematic Heritage" at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. Curated by Neville Tuli, the exhibition showcased a specially curated collection from a vast archive of 400,000 items related to Indian cinema, including rare film posters, vintage booklets, original publicity materials, and memorabilia from iconic films associated with TRIS. The event also featured hand-painted posters, vintage booklets, and promotional materials from classic Indian movies like "Mughal-E-Azam," "Pakeezah," and "Sholay." Moreover, it shed light on significant collaborations in Indian cinema, such as those between Raj Kapoor and Nargis, and Amitabh Bachchan and Manmohan Desai, among others. The exhibition also delved into the role of dance in Indian cinema, showcasing its evolution as a storytelling element. Attendees, including student groups from various educational institutions, were enthusiastic about exploring the rich history of Indian cinema and its profound impact on the country.
